Advanced Scientific Molding
Instructors: John Klees & John Bozzelli
June 17 - 20, 2014(Cincinnati, OH Milacron)
Seminar starts at 8:30 AM Tuesday
Ends Friday 12:00 Noon
  • Learn the complete strategy for repeatable molding of high tolerance parts even with different machines
  • Learn the databased procedures for developing optimized, production capable processes
At this seminar you will benefit from:
1.      Learn how to master efficient production of precision molded products
2.      Return with broader insights into the five key components of a successful plastics application that can immediately be applied to improve the profitability of your injection molding operation
3.      Proven processing technology that is production floor practical
4.      Receive individual attention and machine side instruction
5.      Tooling designs from John Klees
6.      Viewing plastic flow under real time, temperatures and pressures with our glass mold videos
7.      Documenting a process so that it can be duplicated on another machine
8.      State of the art troubleshooting techniques
9.      Individual attention and machine side instruction due to our small group atmosphere
10. Understanding the basics of rheology, polymer flow, what it means to product design, to mold design, and to the molder
11. Learn why a close loop system is not smart enough to compensate for poorly trained operating personnel and how to specify a press
12. Receive a comprehensive custom-developed instruction manual, provided only to participants of this seminar, which will serve as a valuable resource in the future
Abstract:  This rigorous four day seminar, presented by John Klees (Seminar Leader) and John Bozzelli, is targeted at state-of-the-art injection molding technology, process development & optimization, plus some tooling and design tips. This seminar is specifically designed for people who want a thorough understanding of injection molding, polymers, processing, and tooling.  On-machine demonstrations supplement the classroom material, so you will be involved with actual machine operation. Relationship between hydraulic pressure, plastic pressure, cavity pressure and on-machine rheology is demonstrated so that you may mold on hydraulic or electric presses to obtain identical parts.  Emphasis is placed on tooling and practical setup procedures, which will optimize your production processes.
